On January 26, 2024, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Global Module Center Joint Stock Company took place at the Non-Tariff Area and Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (Zone 1). With the presence of representatives from government authorities and leading corporations such as Samsung Engineering, Sankyu Japan – Vietnam, Sao Do Group, Hai Phong Port Service Joint Stock Company – HPS, along with major partners such as Hai Phong Port Company, Nam Dinh Vu Port, and reputable banks like Vietcombank, HDbank, Vietinbank,… the event marked a significant milestone, signaling a new phase of development for the project.

The project is located in the Non-Tariff Area and Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (Zone 1).
In the future, this will be the largest module manufacturing complex in Vietnam and in the region, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s heavy industrial mechanical engineering sector.
- Project area: 162,500 m2.
- Total investment capital: over 1.218 trillion VND.
- Design capacity: 30,000 tons per year.
- Expected annual revenue: 1.963 trillion VND.
Phase I of the project will begin construction from the fourth quarter of 2023 to the second quarter of 2024. Phase II, involving the installation of machinery and equipment, will take place from the second quarter of 2024 to the third quarter of 2024, with official operation commencing in the third quarter of 2026. By the time the project becomes operational, GMC expects to create over 1,200 jobs for workers.
The establishment and operation of GMC will provide employment opportunities for workers and generate direct income for the state budget through taxation and other fees from the use of public facilities.

In his speech at the inauguration ceremony, Comrade Le Trung Kien – Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Head of the Management Board of the Hai Phong Economic Zone, highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of Samsung Group and other investors in promoting this project in Hai Phong. He also proposed stronger investment from Samsung in the future, especially in modern and environmentally friendly technologies, to minimize waste and promote green transformation in the city’s industrial production.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tho – General Director of Amecc Company, in his speech, extended special thanks to partners, customers, and strategic partners of Samsung Engineering. He emphasized the successful cooperation over the years, particularly in the field of module manufacturing. Along with Samsung, they have established the Global Module Center with the aim of building a production center for processing steel structures and mechanical products to meet essential domestic and international demands. This not only contributes to the development of Vietnam’s heavy industry but also promotes international cooperation and enhances Hai Phong’s position in the context of international integration.
The inauguration ceremony marked an important milestone, a memorable event not only for the Global Module Center but also for the Vietnamese business community in general and at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park in particular. The presence and commitment of international partners are clear evidence of the cooperation and development potential of the Vietnamese market in the new era.
