Positive situation after the crisis named Covid

In terms of economy, Vietnam especially recovered quite quickly, stronger than in April. Industrial production activities showed signs of recovery. Compared to April, the industrial production index (IIP) increased by 11.2%, the purchasing managers index of Vietnam (PMI) increased by 10 points – one of the highest increases in Southeast Asia. Retail sales of goods and services tended to increase again with an increase of 26.9%.

Disbursement of public investment capital has a transformation when increasing by 17.5%. FDI activity recovered slightly, total registered capital in the first 5 months accounted for 13.9%. The number of newly established businesses also increased in May.

In particular, The Economist magazine ranked Vietnam 12th out of 66 emerging economies in terms of financial health. This contributes to enhancing the image and reputation of Vietnam in the international arena.

Active support activities from the Government

In that spirit, the support packages the Government is directing, including monetary, credit and fiscal policies, especially the social security support package for more than 20 million people, need to be focused on speeding up time. approval and implementation.
